America: Reasons why Ron Paul deserves your vote!

The following comments are collected from various news sites, including the NY Times, yahoo news, cnn, and several other sites. Please read as many as possible, before you cast any judgement on the last American running for president.

Lets make this easy - How many politicians actually follow their own rhetoric once elected?

This is why Ron Paul scares the establishment, he wont go back on his campaign promises, ever! Dont let the media spin their version of the gold standard or other issues, listen to Ron Paul speak about these issues if you want to understand.

Its very easy to tell an uninformed Paul Hater from people who are knowledgeable on his issues but dont agree with him. I dont see many of the later posting in these comments, hats off to Chris L. for listening to what the man has to say.

The Republican and Democratic parties no longer represent the American people -- both have been captured by corporate and moneyed interests. And crony capitalism reigns in American.

Ron Paul and supporters should leave the Republican Party and join with Progressives on the GREEN PARTY ticket. We MUST RECLAIM GOVERNMENT FOR THE PEOPLE. There is more synergy, commonality and opportunity for compromise between Libertarians and Progressives than in either of the parties controlled by MONEY.

Let's do this. Let's provide a REAL CHOICE and REPRESENTATIVE GOVERNMENT for the American people.

The presence of Barack Obama in the White House may have made it easier for Republicans in Congress to side with protests of Administration war and monetary policy, but it had no effect on Paulites in the body politic.

We were with him when Dr. Paul was denouncing the policies of GW Bush just as unabashedly. These years of seeing Ron Paul's predictions of failed wars and stimulus spending come true have added to our number, not the occupant of the White House. If Romney persists in the most repugnant of Barack Obama policies, or even doubles down on them, as he gives every indication of doing, our rejection of him will be even sharper.

After all, we expect more of a Republican, and, we have been spending the better part of the last year belaboring our less astute party members that a Romney Administration will not be much improvement over Obama's. You don't think we'll give up the opportunity of saying, "We told you so!", do you?

Dead Serious from Somewhere

To correct Donald Quixote here, Ron Paul's three big ideas are:

1. Strict adherence to rule of law (the Constitution).

2. No undeclared wars or "hostilities" in foreign countries.

3. Common sense economic policy (no overspending, no monopolies, no pricefixing).

Other than that, read his election platform. It pretty much reflects everything what and who he is.

Mr. Douthat makes some cogent points. And for all the critics of the NY Times, it ought to tell you a great deal more about the earnest character of the journalism provided on these pages. A society without a news source with the breadth and character of the NY Times, will simply perish.

Ron Paul has gotten a fair shake from pockets of America's intelligentsia because Ron Paul the man has presented himself, his ideas in a forthright and deliberate fashion and made those ideas center stage, not his ego. You have no choice but to respect Mr. Paul regardless of whether you are inclined at first to side with him or not.

Even as a currently Registered Democrat, I respect Ron Paul for coming forth with a rare degree of candor and integrity about the agenda that he represents. Paul patiently, rationally and deliberately makes the case for Liberty and it forces you to reconsider the America that once was, that you live in currently and what it might still yet become. I am proud to live in a country where Ron Paul is a citizen.

lib·er·ty (lbr-t)
n. pl. lib·er·ties
1.
a. The condition of being free from restriction or control.
b. The right and power to act, believe, or express oneself in a manner of one's own choosing.
c. The condition of being physically and legally free from confinement, servitude, or forced labor. See Synonyms at freedom.

2. Freedom from unjust or undue governmental control.

3. A right or immunity to engage in certain actions without control or interference: the liberties protected by the Bill of Rights.

Do you believe in Liberty? You may be a US citizen, but if you don't believe in Liberty, can you really call yourself an American? Is not Liberty to very idea of America?

FOR LIBERTY: How the Ron Paul Revolution Watered the Withered Tree Of Liberty

A documentary film by Chris Rye & Corey Kealiher

Coming September 2009

Congressman Ron Paul's run for the 2008 GOP Presidential nomination sparked a unique grassroots brush fire not seen in recent history. Ron Paul's integrity inspired and ended the apathy of many, which showed a large remnant of a belief in American liberty lives on.

Powerful Adolf Hitler Quotes

“He alone, who owns the youth, gains the future.”
― Adolf Hitler

“Demoralize the enemy from within by surprise, terror, sabotage, assassination. This is the war of the future.”
― Adolf Hitler

“The victor will never be asked if he told the truth. ”
― Adolf Hitler, Hitler's Letters and Notes

"I say that they can be solved; there is no problem that cannot be, but faith is necessary. Think of the faith I had to have eighteen years ago, a single man on a lonely path. Yet I have come to leadership of the German people... Life is hard for many, but it is hardest if you are unhappy and have no faith. Have faith. Nothing can make me change my own belief."

Really, Mitt Romney? ‘Michigan is a state we can win’

MOLINE, Il.—Mitt Romney just felt like chatting.
Just after wrapping up his final event in Iowa on day four of his five-day bus tour through battleground states, the Republican nominee briefly made an appearance in the back of his campaign plane to chat up reporters as he prepared to fly to his home state of Michigan for a final day of events.

"When we land, you'll look around and see all the trees are the right height," Romney joked, making fun of a line he frequently used while he was campaigning in Michigan during the GOP primary.

But Romney was cautious about his chances in the state, where polls show him in a close race with President Obama.

"Do I think I have a chance of winning? Who knows in these early stages, but I think Michigan is a state we can win," the Republican nominee said.

Asked what a win in the state would mean to him personally, Romney smiled and replied, "If I win in Michigan and then I become president, and that would mean a lot to me.

Romney seemed happy and full of energy after a nearly 12-hour day, which began with a morning rally in Wisconsin and ended 150 miles to the south with an event in Davenport, Iowa—just over the Illinois state line from here.

"What a fun day! What a great day!" Romney said.

He dodged a question on which event so far had been his favorite."That's an absolute no win question," Romney replied. But he insisted he had found all the events "exhilarating"—even as he also admitted he was glad the day was ending a little earlier than usual so he could "wind down."

"At a rally like that with all the hands you get to shake and all the things people say to you on the advice line, it's fun, it's exciting, and you're sort of wound up," Romney said. "Now, we'll sort of decompress a bit, do some reading."

The Republican nominee told reporters he is still reading "The Next 100 Years" by George Friedman, which he was first spied reading a few weeks ago during a campaign swing in Colorado, and a novel by mystery author Vince Flynn.

He told reporters he didn't agree with the Friedman book's premise, which, among other things, predicts
a second Cold War with Russia.

"I must admit it's very hard for me to believe either that China is going to disintegrate or that Russia is going to disintegrate," Romney said. "It's always interesting to look at the perspectives of the people and think about what might happen. "

"That's not what I would anticipate," Romney continued. "But, you know, unconventional thinking is an interesting way to stimulate your thinking… But my own view is that I expect a strong China, I expect a strong Russia, and I expect a stronger America."
